Research Abstract |
In various research areas, sample surveys based on the stratified random sampling are often conducted to estimate population characteristics. We can obtain more effective estimators, such as ratio, regression, and calibration estimators, than usual unbiased estimators by incorporating auxiliary variables. On the other hand, it is often the case that we have prior information on population characteristics since sample surveys are often regularly conducted. In this research, we developed more effective estimators by using not only auxiliary variables but also prior information.
