Research Abstract

Forebrain neuron-specific KO mice of tyrosine phosphatase SHP2, a positive regulator of Ras/MAPK, show abnormal behavior including hyperactivity. In this research project, I have shown that alteration of BDNF-Ras/MAPK signal in SHP2 cKO mice is one of causes for hyperactiveity. In addition, I have found that SHP2 participates in regulation of memory and learning.
