Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of our study is to clarify the relationship between exercise tolerance and skeletal muscle mass volume in patients with heart failure. We investigated patients who are compensated with NYHA functional class II or III .Study 1 suggested there are positive correlation between muscle mass volume and Peak VO2 derived from cardiopulmonary exercise testing. Study 2 suggested that there were no significant relationship between serum levels of myostatine and skeletal muscle volume. In Study 3, we found there were positive correlation between serum levels of BDNF and VE/VO2 slope although no relationship were seen between Peak VO2 and BDNF in other previous reports,
