Research Abstract

Podoplanin (PDPN) is a mucin-type sialoglycoprotein associatedwith tumor metastasis, malignant progression, and cancer stem cells. Recently, werevealed the existence of tumor specific glycan on PDPN. In this study, we showed thatseveral glycosyltransferase genes are involved in the tumor specific glycan on PDPN.Furthermore, we investigated the potential role of noncoding RNA such as microRNAs inglycosyltransferase gene regulation.
