Focusing on late-eighteenth century British female intellectuals who joined the French Revolution Debate and articulated their own political views from the ‘conservative’ standpoint, this research examined the way in which the ‘conservative Enlightenment’ provided women writers with new opportunities to make their voice heard in the public sphere.
