The purpose of this study was to make clear a diachronic tendency of consciousness of characters and notations through the analysis of the concrete document,which was lacking in previous studies.
Above all, I investigated kana handwriting documents in the Nanboku-cho Era and analyzed them comparing with Insei Era, so as to present a diachronic tendency of Consciousness of Characters and notation.
After I had investigated mainly kana handwriting documents of Nanboku-cho Era, I made data,organized it,and analized it.As a result, I was able to announce the results of my research on the actual situation of the notation consciousness at the time.
