Research Abstract |
A separation-oriented derivatization method for highly accurate and precise LC-MS/MS analysis of target analytes has been developed utilizing affinity of perfluoroalkyl group and one another, namely fluorous. In this method, the matrix-induced effects during LC-MS analysis could be eliminated because the perfluoroalkylated analytes could be retained specifically on a perfluoroalkyl-modified LC column, whereas non-fluorous endogenous matrix components were poorly retained under the separation conditions.
