Research Abstract |
An interface tracking method for predicting single bubbles in contaminated systems was developed and experiments on bubbles in liquids were carried out to develop a numerical method for predicting bubbly flows in wastewater treatment devices based on membrane bioreactor method. A drag and lift forces were modeled by accounting for the effects of surfactant on bubble motion. A multi-fluid model implementing these models was developed.
