Research Abstract |
The present study explored characteristics of cross- anisotropic stiffness in natural clays by refining laboratory testing techniques and applying them to clays with various geological backgrounds. Focusing on the relationships between adopted stiffness model ’ s parameters and the geological characteristics, the parameters’ usefulness as non-destructive diagnostic indices of soil structure was assessed.
