Research Abstract |
Impurity transport has been analyzed in edge stochastic layer of magnetically confined fusion devices, using three dimensional numerical simulation and spectroscopy measurements. It has been confirmed that there is clear screening effect on impurity at high density plasma operation. It is also found that the screening effect is available for high Z impurity (Fe). These screening effects have been found due to the geometrical effects of the stochastic magnetic field.
