Research Abstract |
Using environment-sensitive fluorophore, conformational changes of a single ion channel were clearly detected. And, to clarify the relationship between conformational and functional changes of an ion channel, I improved an apparatus to measure these changes simultaneously at the single channel level. Using this apparatus, functional changes were easily detected and fluorescence images of a single ion channel were stably obtained.
