Novel factor X regulating epithelial branching tubulogenesis induced by Wnt3a and EGF was identified by microarray analysis. Factor X activated Rac and inhibited Rho respectively, resulting in cell extension and ac tivation of cell motility. Cell morphological change induced cell proliferation in three dimensional matrix. These results indicate that Wnt and EGF signaling regulates epithelial branching tubulogenesis cooperatively.
