Research Abstract |
To reveal the function of CENP-R in skin carcinogenesis, we subjected 30 CENP-R knockout (CENP-R^<-/->) mice, 15 CENP-R^<+/+> mice as control groups, to the DMBA/TPA chemical carcinogenesis protocol and monitored their tumor development for a period of 38 weeks. As a result, control mice had a higher incidence and earlier onset of squamous cell carcinoma compared to CENP-R^<-/-> mice. Therefore, CENP-R is important factor for skin carcinogenesis
