| Research Abstract |
Nod-like receptors are known as cytosolic sensors for recognition of bacterial cell wall components. In this study, we examined the role of Nod-like receptor as an autophagy induction sensor in the maintenance of intestinal homeostasis. We revealed that Nod ligands enhanced the formation of autophagosome in dendritic cells, and promoted Treg induction in the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT). Furthermore, we also noted that autophagy played an important role in the maintenance of intestinal epithelial cell homeostasis.
