Research Abstract |
IL-5 is a cytokine that is necessary for differentiation and maturation for eosinophils from their precursor cells such as hematopoietic stem cells. IL-5 also plays activation and survival for mature eosinophils. This study showed two novel IL-5Ras, namely IL-5Ra V7 and V8, and constructed the expression systems for I-5Ra V7 and V8 on mammalian cells using retorovirus.
