Research Abstract |
We have shown that "our autism model rats" which exposed to thalidomide during pregnancy impair serotonergic system including raphe nucleus and show behavior abnormality to the offspring. Now we have also shown that exposure to thalidomide during pregnancy induces morphological abnormalities in the cerebellum to the offspring. However, monoamine contents in the hippocampus and striatum did not differ between control group and thalidomide-treated group.
