Research Abstract |
In the present study, we analyzed structural-functional interaction of a mammalian candidate sour taste receptor, PKD1L3/PKD2L1 complex. We aimed to identify the molecular determinants responsible for the Ca2+ permeability of the PKD1L3/PKD2L1 complex. By Ca2+ imaging analyses, we demonstrated that the single pore residue Asp523 in PKD2L1 determines Ca2+ permeation of the PKD1L3/PKD2L1 complex.
