Research Abstract |
Functional analyses of choline-binding protein E (CbpE) was performed. As a result, it was revealed that CbpE is involved in the functional regulation of choline-binding β-galactosidase and of CbpD, an autolytic enzyme that functions in genetic transformation. These results suggested that CbpE play important roles in the regulation of genetic transformation.
