Outline of Research at the Start

原子核内にΛ粒子を入れてその磁気モーメントとβ崩壊率を精密測定し、自由空間での値との違いを調べ、核内の核子やΛ(バリオン)は自由空間にあるときと比べて性質や構造が異なるのかどうかを明らかにする。そのため（A)“精密γ線分光による核内Λ磁気モーメント測定”(J-PARC E63)を実施する。我々のハイパー核γ線分光の技術を用いて7ΛLiハイパー核の放出するγ線の寿命から核内Λの磁気モーメントを求める。（B）シミュレーション研究で実現可能と判明した“核内Λ粒子のβ崩壊率測定実験”の準備を行う。特にBGOシンチレータのπ-と中性子による応答を実測し、BGOカロリメータを含む検出器系の仕様を決定する。
