Outline of Research at the Start

われわれは、通常では分化細胞として振舞うp57陽性のノン・プロフェッショナル幹細胞（NP幹細胞）が傷害時に幹細胞性を獲得し、その過程で『時空間リプログラミング』 という特徴的なトランスクリプトーム変化が必要であることを発見した。この現象は、“化生”という病理学的異常と酷似している。しかし、この時空間リプログラミングが生じるメカニズムや、化生・がんとの関わり等は全く不明である。本研究では、時空間リプログラミングのメカニズムを、１）トリガー、２）シグナル伝達、３）実行因子、の３階層から解明を目指すと共に、４）化生やがん等の疾患との関わり、５）腸管以外の幹細胞における関与、について研究を行う。
