Outline of Research at the Start

本研究はインド仏教の僧院規則文献「根本説一切有部律」の「ウッタラグランタ」と呼ばれる部分を対象とし、その内容をチベット語訳の翻訳、サンスクリット語写本断片の解読、他文献との比較を通して解明しようとするものである。「ウッタラグランタ」の理解は大乗仏教をも含めたインド仏教史上に重要な位置を占める「根本説一切有部律」の正確な理解につながることから、本研究は広くインド仏教研究一般のためにさらなる進展の足場を築くこととなる。
