Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、米国領事Sickels文書の解読を通して、タイの歴史上初めて信教の自由を保障した「宗教寛容令」の成立過程における政治的要素と宗教的要素の関係を思想史的に解明する。タイ宗教史研究で手薄なキリスト教思想史の影響を信教の自由の法制化において実証し、寛容令の成立背後にある政治的要素を解明し、タイ宗教史研究の発展に貢献する。
