Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、明治・大正・昭和・平成の大嘗祭の選定地（悠紀、主基）で奉納された御田植芸能を対象とする。それぞれの地域で継承されてきた近世芸能をどのように摂取して御田植芸能を新作したのかを解明するとともに、近現代日本人の稲作文化に対するメンタリティのありようを現代的視点のもとで明らかにする。
なかでも、ひとたび断絶した御田植芸能をその土地の人びとが復活させようとするとき、どのような意識のもとで、当該芸能に対してどのような「文脈転換」がはかられるのかに着目して、そのプロセスを紐解く。
