Outline of Research at the Start	第二言語発達研究において、複雑な系を特徴づけるネットワーク構造とその構成要素の相互作用を前提にした議論が十分なされてきたとは言えない。この研究では第二言語としての英語の多義語と類義語を包含する学習者の語彙知識をネットワークとして捉え、新たな入力情報を受けてその全体の構造が変化していくプロセスの解明を目指す。研究では語の振る舞い特性に基づいて語彙ネットワークのモデル化を行い、発達シミュレーションの結果と学習者の行動データを比較して分析する。これにより学習者の発達の特徴が鮮明になるとともに、知識の創発的な性格を前提にした言語指導のあり方に対する示唆も得られることを期待できる。
