Outline of Research at the Start

(1)『蝦夷島奇観』の異本の調査、(2)秦檍丸の弟子（間宮林蔵・村上貞助）の著作物の調査、(3)秦檍丸のその他の著作物の調査、(4)『蝦夷島奇観』の写本の調査を行い、書誌学的視点からの考察、とりわけ収録絵画の内容対比と詞書の筆跡対比を行う。この研究（作業）を行うことにより、秦檍丸が晩年に制作を試みていた著作物『蝦夷国図説』の復元を試みる。
