Outline of Research at the Start	戦後約10年余りの間にインドネシア独立戦争や朝鮮戦争、スエズ危機等で大きな成果を挙げたのにも拘わらず、総会で第三世界諸国が影響力を増すと、アメリカは国連に距離を置くようになり、アメリカ外交史や国際関係史の研究において、その歴史はほぼ忘却された。本研究はこうした「アメリカの忘れられた国連外交」に再び光を当て、戦後初期の国際関係史の中に脱植民地化をめぐるアメリカ外交と欧米同盟の相克を位置付け直す。
