Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、中高年の健康増進や社会的厚生向上のための政策的含意を得ることを目的とする。分析に際しては、所得や学歴、就業形態など様々な個人レベルの社会経済的要因だけでなく、居住地域の格差・貧困状況、社会参加活動の度合いや就業状況など地域レベルの社会経済的要因にも注目し、中高年の健康の社会的決定要因を動学的な枠組みの下で分析するとともに、政策シミュレーションとして、年金・雇用制度改革が健康格差に及ぼす影響を試算する。さらに、中国で実施されている各種大規模社会調査の個票データも活用して日中比較を試みる。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は、中高年を対象として、健康の社会的決定要因を大規模社会調査の個票データを用いて分析し、中高年の健康増進や社会的厚生向上のための政策的含意を得ることを目的とする。
分析に際しては、所得や学歴、就業形態など様々な個人レベルの社会経済的要因だけでなく、居住地域の格差・貧困状況、社会参加活動の度合いや就業状況など地域レベルの社会経済的要因にも注目し、中高年の健康の社会的決定要因を動学的な枠組みの下で分析するとともに、政策シミュレーションとして、年金・雇用制度改革が健康格差に及ぼす影響を試算する。さらに、中国で実施されている各種大規模社会調査の個票データも活用して日中比較も試みる。
2年目の2024年度においては、研究の中核となる厚生労働省「中高年者縦断調査」を用いた実証分析を本格的に展開したほか、Japanese Economic Reviewが主催する高齢化研究のプロジェクトにも参加し、その成果を論文化した。さらに、2回の中国出張(上海・復旦大学、北京・中国社会科学院)、日仏共同研究プロジェクトにおいて本研究の成果の一部を報告した。
実証研究に用いるデータとして、上述の「中高年者縦断調査」のほか、厚生労働省「国民生活基礎調査」の二次利用申請を新たに行い、得られたデータを用いて研究をさらに発展させた。また、中国の大規模社会調査を用いた実証分析も中国の研究者とともに進め、その成果を論文としてまとめることができた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

研究目的に沿って、各種データを用いた実証分析をさらに進め、論文及び単行本の形にまとめる。研究成果は、中国社会科学院、アジア開発銀行、全米経済研究所がそれぞれ主催する国際研究プロジェクトでも報告する予定である。
