Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は音楽が社会に与える影響について考察するものである。具体的には音楽フェスティバル、とりわけ「フェス」と呼ばれるポピュラー音楽の野外ライブを対象とし、一時的な催しであるフェスが都市や地域の成長・発展に中長期的に与える影響を明らかにする。本研究の「問い」は、一時的な催しに過ぎないフェスが周期的に開催されることの意義は何か、長期的な都市や地域の発展にどう関わるのかというものである。ミュージック・アーバニズムの観点から、長く継続しているフェスにはどのような条件が備わっており、それが地域社会にどう貢献しているかを明らかにする。
