Outline of Research at the Start

主にアジア諸国からの「留学卒業生家族」に焦点を当てて、21世紀初頭という時代性のもとで、異郷・日本における留学―就労―育児・教育というライフコースを経るなかでどのような困難をどのように克服して日本在住を選択したのかを解明し、彼らの視点から高度外国人材が必要とした／する支援や施策を模索する。
そのために50件（世帯）ほどの郵送アンケート調査とそのうち20件（世帯）ほどの留学卒業生家族へのインタビュー調査を行い、
①日本の留学生政策の成功要因の把握 ②21世紀初頭の日本の多文化共生施策への評価・課題と支援ネットワーク、③留学卒業生一世から二世へのエスニシティの継承と受容のあり様を明らかにする。
