Outline of Research at the Start

レーザメタルデポジションは，金属粉末をレーザ照射部に供給し，処理対象物の表面に肉盛層を形成する技術であり，機械部品の補修や表面改質に利用されている．肉盛層に発生するポロシティ(気孔欠陥)は，機械的特性の低下を招くことからポロシティ抑制手法の確立が望まれている．ポロシティは，溶融金属内の気泡に由来すると考えられているが，その生成メカニズムについては不明な点が多い．本研究では，レーザメタルデポジション中における溶融金属内部をインプロセスで観察するシステムを構築する．溶融金属内における気泡の挙動を直接観察することによって，気泡の発生を支配する因子を解明し，ポロシティを制御する技術を確立する．
