Outline of Research at the Start

本課題は，地震時に液状化現象が生じる可能性のある基礎地盤上に構築された河川堤防を対象とし，河道掘削にあわせて既存堤防の地震時安定性を向上させる経済的で実施可能な方法を検討・提案する。盛土材として活用できる河道掘削土をジオグリッド補強し，既存堤防の川裏側法面上に押え盛土として配置する。堤防機能は既存堤が担い，押え盛土は既存堤の耐震化が目的である。押え盛土の配置によって，a)堤体のすべり破壊を抑制させるとともに，b)堤体直下の基礎地盤の拘束圧レベルを増加させることによって液状化抵抗も同時に向上させる。
