Outline of Research at the Start	動物の雄が雌に求愛するときに示す婚姻贈呈は昆虫をはじめとする無脊椎動物の仲間で広く見られ、配偶者選択に大きな役割を果たしている。私たちはこれまでに、婚姻贈呈を示すショウジョウバエの一種に遺伝学的ツールを導入することで、この行動に関わる神経機構の研究を進めてきた。本研究では、神経ペプチド遺伝子の機能に着目することで婚姻贈呈を生み出すメカニズムに迫る。
