Outline of Research at the Start

我が国における遺体損壊事例、いわゆる「バラバラ（殺人）事件」は、年間5～6件ほどの事例が発生しているにも関わらず、法医人類学的な調査は未だ行われていない。また、解体手法や目的など、海外で解明された方法は必ずしも日本での事例に適用できるわけではない。そこで、本研究では、日本における遺体損壊事例の総括的な法医人類学的調査を行い、損壊の動機、部位、そして損壊に使われた成傷器の情報を集約する。また、損壊に使われる成傷器、特に日本製の鋸、が、どのような損傷痕を形成するのか、豚の四肢を用いて実験を行う。これらの結果は日本の法医学・法医人類学において画期的研究であり、且つ犯罪捜査や裁判などでも重要である。
