Outline of Research at the Start	がん幹細胞は放射線耐性・薬剤耐性を持ちつつ、転移や再発を引き起こすことから、がんの根絶に向けてがん幹細胞に対する効果的な治療法を確立することは重要な課題である。本研究計画においては、生体外で組織の構造と機能を模倣できるオルガノイドを用いて、申請者らが発見したLgr5陽性胃組織幹細胞および胃がん幹細胞を比較解析することで、胃がん幹細胞の増殖と悪性化を制御する因子の探索を行う。また、ヒト胃がんより樹立されたオルガノイドを用いて、マウス生体内でヒト胃がん幹細胞の増殖と悪性化を制御する因子の機能的検証を行う。これらの研究を通し、ヒト胃がん幹細胞を標的とした効果的な治療法の確立を目指す。
