Outline of Research at the Start	統合失調症の病因・病態の解明と生物学的根拠に基づく新規予防・診断・治療法の開発は喫緊の課題である。脳発達期の炎症性ストレスに着目した統合失調症研究より、統合失調症脆弱性基盤の形成にオリゴデンドロサイト系遺伝子が関与しているとの報告がある。本研究では、申請者がこれまでに行ったヒト死後脳研究の結果からヒントを得て、脳発達期の炎症性ストレス、NFATC2を起点とした遺伝子ネットワーク障害とミクログリアの異常およびオリゴデンドロサイト－ミクログリア間の情報伝達と統合失調症患者で観察される白質異常との関係に着目して研究を行い、統合失調症の病態理解を目指す。
