Outline of Research at the Start

シナプス可塑性の基盤の一つに神経細胞樹状突起上スパインの形態変化があり、記憶や学習と深く関わっている。パーキンソン病患者におけるL-ドパ誘発ジスキネジアは異常運動を不適切に学習する結果起こり、モデル動物では線条体直接路神経細胞の樹状突起上スパインが肥大する。本研究ではこのスパインの形態変化が加齢によりどのような影響を受けるかを調べる。具体的には若年及び高齢発症のパーキンソン病モデルラットに若年または高齢時にL-ドパ治療を行い、ジスキネジア発現や樹状突起上スパインの形態変化を調べる。L-ドパ誘発ジスキネジアが若年発症患者で多い理由を解明すると共に加齢に伴う記憶や学習能力の変化のメカニズムに迫る。
