Outline of Research at the Start	認知症の最大の原因疾患であるアルツハイマー病（AD）は現在アミロイドβ（Aβ）蛋白質蓄積を主病因とした治療薬開発が主流であり、脳内に蓄積したAβを画像化するアミロイドPETが概念実証のマーカーとして重要な役割を担っている。Apolipoprotein E(ApoE)は人種を越えた最大かつ最強のAD感受性遺伝子である。神経病理学的には老人斑と共局在することが知られているが、ApoEの老人斑における局在は不均一であり、神経炎症との関係も示唆されている。そこで本研究ではアミロイドPETのシグナルとApoE陽性の老人斑の関係を明らかにするとともに、脳内に蓄積したApoEを標的としたPETプローブの開発研究を展開する。
