Outline of Research at the Start

肥大型心筋症（HCM）は、何らかの原因で心筋細胞が肥大し、一般的には左右心室筋の原発性非対称性肥大を認める心筋症である。MYH7をはじめとするサルコメア関連遺伝子が原因遺伝子として報告されており、心臓移植以外に根本的な治療法は存在しない。今回、私達はMYH6およびMYH７の同一アレルにそれぞれ変異を持った稀なHCMの日本人家系を発見し、HCMからD-HCMへの移行頻度が高く、経過も早急である一方で、表現型のばらつきも認めた。私達は表現型（重症度）の差異に注目して、疾病を発症していない症例（モデルマウス）も含めた浸透率の観点から病態の解析を試みることにした。
