Outline of Research at the Start	難病指定されている多発性嚢胞腎は、その原因となる遺伝子のいくつかが特定されているが、発生機序や遺伝子制御機構など未知の点も多く、治療法は利尿薬等による対症療法しかない。本申請課題では、Zeb2 （Sip1/ZFHX1）遺伝子に着目する。本研究では、in vivo、in vitro 両面から、①嚢胞腎形成におけるZeb2 の役割を明らかにし、治療法を検討する。②上流因子の腎嚢胞形成における役割を明らかにし、治療法を検討する。③ZEB2下流遺伝子の同定と解析を行うことを目指す。これらを通して、嚢胞腎治療の新しいターゲットポイントの提示を目指す。
