Outline of Research at the Start

顎骨の骨量不足は補綴処置の選択肢を制限し、治療の難易度を上げ、患者のQOL低下につながる。骨量不足を補う骨増生法の中でも、骨形成を移植細胞に期待する骨増生法では、骨形成細胞の移植処置や移植後の血液灌流に伴う活性酸素種の発生によって、移植細胞がアポトーシスや機能不全に陥り、十分に機能を発揮できていない。抗酸化物質、エダラボンは、予備実験より酸化ストレスから骨髄由来細胞を保護し、骨芽細胞分化を促進する。本研究の目的はエダラボンにより移植部位の活性酸素種を除去し、移植細胞を長期生存、機能させ、骨形成を促進する、予知性の高い骨増生法を開発することである。
