Outline of Research at the Start

DNAは、紫外線や化学物質などの外部要因による損傷に加え、正常な代謝活動においても
損傷する。しかし、それら損傷DNAは、DNA修復分子機構によって瞬時に修復されるため、
正常な組織で損傷したDNAを目にすることはない。修復できない重篤な損傷が生じた場合には、アポトーシスによって細胞そのものが消失する。母体内の胎児におけるDNAの損傷については報告がない。歯の発生におけるDNA損傷・修復は議論されていない。そこで本申請は、歯の発生におけるDNA損傷の原因と、その修復機構を明らかにすることを目的とする。
