| Outline of Research at the Start |
我が国西国の長寿地域における高齢者の口腔機能および口腔内フローラ（口腔細菌叢）と腸内フローラ（腸内細菌叢）に着目した。現在進行中の高齢者を対象とした前向きコホート研究において、口腔検診を実施、長寿高齢者の口腔機能とマイクロバイオームの解析を行うとともに、腸内フローラを中心としたさまざまな全身資料と検討を行う。そして、健康成就因子の解明につながることを目的とする。

| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
我が国最高の長寿地域における高齢者の口腔機能および口腔内フローラ（口腔細菌叢）と腸内フローラ（腸内細菌叢）に着目した。現在進行中の高齢者を対象とした前向きコホート研究において、口腔健診を実施、長寿高齢者の口腔機能とマイクロバイオームの解析を行うとともに、腸内フローラを中心とした様々な全身資料と検討を行う。そして、健康長寿因子の解明に繋げることを目標にしている。
現在、京丹後市立弥栄病院で研究対象者に対して、アンケート（口腔状態および口腔衛生に関する質問）、口腔内診査（地域歯周疾患指数・う蝕・残存歯数・補綴状態の確認）、口腔内フローラ検査、咀嚼能力検査、唾液検査・口腔乾燥検査、舌・口唇運動機能を行い、資料収集を行っている。資料は10例/月程度の数となっている。
