Outline of Research at the Start

わが国のメチシリン耐性黄色ブドウ球菌（MRSA）分離率は、高い水準のまま長年推移しており深刻な蔓延状況にある。要因として医療従事者における手指衛生遵守意識の低さと擦式アルコール手指消毒薬使用量の目標値設定の難しさがある。本研究では、擦式アルコール手指消毒剤の使用量と広域抗菌薬の使用量およびMRSA等の薬剤耐性菌の分離率を病棟単位で解析し、WHO が一律「最低20L/1000患者日」としている目標値よりも、医療現場の実情と科学的根拠に基づく擦式アルコール手指消毒薬の使用目標値を算出することを目的とする。これにより、わが国の手指衛生の向上と長年にわたり高止まりしているMRSA分離率の低下を目指す。
