Outline of Research at the Start

超高齢多死社会において、Quality of Dying and Death(QOD)を視野に入れた終末期高齢者医療の実現が課題である。終末期の超高齢者に対する生命維持治療の実施頻度は医療の質指標とされ、その高さに関心が高い。しかし、終末期の診療実態の「ばらつき」と、各種要因等との関連を検討した研究は殆どない。ばらつきを解明し、プロフェッショナリズムの失敗を反映したばらつきを改善し、患者の意向や価値観の多様性を反映したばらつきを維持するための情報が必要である。本研究は、ビックデータと質的手法等を用い、超高齢者の死亡前のケアのばらつきと要因を明らかにし、QOD 向上に向けた情報の創出を目指す。
