Outline of Research at the Start

昨今小児外科医の手術経験数の減少から施設の集約化による施設症例数の増加や小児外科医の育成人数の調整などの必要性が各国で議論されている。日本でも医師や施設の配置について検討が必要であるが、日本では過去にそれらの研究が行われてこなかった。こうした問題点は各国で医療事情が異なるため、日本の小児外科医療の改善には日本固有のデータが必要であり、本研究はそれの一部を遂行するものである。本研究では①National Clinical Databaseを用いた日本の小児外科医の習熟度の現状評価、および、②患者・家族が遠距離の治療成績の良い病院と近距離の病院のどちらを選択するかについてインタビュー調査を行う。
