Outline of Research at the Start

がん患者などの苦痛をもつ人々へスピリチュアルケアの提供が必要である。しかし、日本では「霊性」理解が欧米とは異なることからスピリチュアルケアは未だ一般的ではない。スピリチュアルケアの基本は「共にいる」ことであり、ケア者が傍にいれば、患者は安心できる時間を得る。人のスピリチュアルな要素は「沈黙」の内から生じると考えられている。「沈黙」は、知覚的に捉えることはできないが、人に快、不快の感情を引き起こさせる。本研究では、「沈黙」の空間を提供するスピリチュアルケアの構造と過程を解明し、「沈黙」が人の感情や生体機能に快刺激をもたらす機能と応用方法を明らかにすることである。
