Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、介護者・要介護者双方にとって心身の負担が大きい排泄に係る問題（下部尿路症状：Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms：LUTS）に焦点を当て、一般高齢者から要介護高齢者を対象に排泄自立の維持に有効な評価および介入法の開発を目指す。そのために、申請者が既に見出している（1）LUTSを予測する遂行機能評価とその応用可能性の追検討および排泄問題の実態調査、客観的な裏付けを得るための（2）MRIによる脳画像解析を駆使したLUTSの高次神経基盤の解明、そして、以上（1）（2）の成果を踏まえた（3）排泄自立へ向けた介入プログラムの作成および介入法の検証を5ヵ年計画で行う。
