| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究では、施設に入所中の誤嚥リスクのある高齢者に対して、呼吸リハビリテーションを実施することにより、嚥下機能が改善するかどうかを検証する。さらにそのメカニズムとして呼吸と嚥下の協調性の変化を仮定し、嚥下時の表面筋電図と呼吸センサーによる呼吸サイクルを同期的に測定する。本研究が成功すれば、現時点では効果が不十分な嚥下障害に対するリハビリテーション技術に新たな地平を切り開くこととなる。

| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
嚥下と呼吸の協調性は、誤嚥と密接な関わりがある。本研究の目的は、嚥下と呼吸の協調性変化を仮定して、嚥下に関わる舌骨上筋群の筋活動と呼吸センサーによる呼吸サイクルの測定を同期的に実施し、時系列的解析から両者の協調性変化を明らかにすることである。嚥下と呼吸を同期的に測定することが非常に重要となるが、そのための胸郭可動域測定器と筋電図の同期的測定装置を作成した。

研究協力施設の協力を得て協力可能な被験者を選定しているが、数名の感染症により施設内立ち入り禁止となる。測定日程が取りやめになり、再度調整することになったため、やや遅れている。

今年度中にデータを撮り終えるために計画通り遂行する。やむを得ない状況が起こりうるため、データの日程には余裕をもつようにする。
