Outline of Research at the Start	すくみ足を経験しているパーキンソン病患者さんでは、すくみ足の最中に、脳・脊髄・筋肉レベルで一時的に様々な変化が認められると報告されている。脳では一過性の異常信号がみられ、脳から脊髄歩行回路への信号が減少し、歩行動作など左右の下肢を交互に動かす動作のリズムの乱れ（協調運動障害）などがすくみ足につながることが示唆されている。本研究では、パーキンソン病患者さんの下肢協調運動障害を検出し、申請者らが開発した、手術を伴わずに経皮的に脊髄を刺激できる装置により脊髄にある歩行回路を刺激することで、歩行やすくみ足の改善方法の開発を行う。さらに、すくみ足に関する脳や脊髄レベルでの生理学的機序の解明を目指す。
