本研究は，ビックデータを用いたサッカー選手の解析に関する研究について，個々の選手の走パフォーマンス，戦術・技術的な行動が主であり，複数選手から得る指標に基づいた「戦術タスク遂行の評価」は本研究の独創的試みである．「サッカー選手の集団行動の評価」の先行研究は限定であり，さらに本研究は，「集団行動の成熟度」を評価することが最大の特徴である．これは，「同一チームの継続的なデータ取得」と「人工知能を用いて解析」することにより実現する．
